Conditions for Opening an Account:

  • The ceiling for the total value of credit transactions (including cash deposits, cheques, and incoming money transfers) in the account per month is 2,000 US dollars or its equivalent in other currencies, and no more than 12,000 dollars annually or its equivalent in other traded currencies.

 

  • In case the value of the credit transactions for the account exceeds the maximum amount specified above, then the Bank has the right to:
  1. Transfer the Financial Inclusion account to a current or savings account after obtaining the client's approval and receiving all the additional supporting documents needed depending on the nature and requirements of the new account that the client will be transferred to.
  2. Reject performing any transactions that exceed the specified ceiling until the account status is rectified.

  • Personal identification card (ID)

 

Closing an existing account:

The Bank has the right to close an account if the client fails to commit to the terms and conditions applicable to the account, provided that the client is informed of the closure.

What is the difference between a Financial Inclusion Account and a Current Account at Safa Bank?

  • Financial Inclusion Account: For individuals whose banking transactions stay within the allowed limit.
  • Current Account: For individuals with higher income levels.
  • Services: The Financial Inclusion Account does not include a checkbook, credit card, or loan eligibility, unlike the Current Account, which offers these features.

What happens if my transactions exceed the allowed limit?
If your banking transactions exceed the limit, Safa Bank may convert your account to a regular Current Account based on its policies.

Can I transfer my salary to a Financial Inclusion Account?
Yes, salaries can be deposited into the Financial Inclusion Account as long as the transactions remain within the allowed limit.

What currency is the Financial Inclusion Account available in?
The account is available only in Israeli Shekels, as per the instructions of the Palestine Monetary Authority.

Can I use the Financial Inclusion Account for online payments?
