Safa Bank announced the appointment of Mr. Hatem Suleiman Mohammed Ereinat as General Manager of the Bank, as part of the Bank’s efforts to strengthen its executive leadership, leverage specialized banking expertise and competencies, and support its strategic plans aimed at developing its business and services and enhancing its presence and position within the Palestinian banking sector.

Ereinat brings extensive professional and leadership experience in the banking sector, having held a number of executive and managerial positions at leading banking institutions. Throughout his career, he has gained broad and specialized expertise in branch network management, banking operations, digital transformation, credit control, payment services, treasury operations, cash and liquidity management, as well as overseeing relationships with correspondent banks.

Prior to joining Safa Bank, Ereinat served as Assistant General Manager for the Branch Network at Palestine Islamic Bank since the beginning of 2026. Before that, he served as Assistant General Manager for Banking Operations at the same bank from 2022 to 2025. He also spent several years of his professional career at Arab Bank – Palestine, where he held a number of leadership and supervisory positions.

Throughout his career, Ereinat has developed advanced expertise in leading teams, enhancing banking operations and operational efficiency, managing strategic projects and initiatives, and strengthening compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements. He has also contributed to the development of banking services and supported sustainable institutional growth.

Ereinat holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Birzeit University, obtained in 2006, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Economics from the same university, obtained in 2000, further strengthening his academic and professional background and supporting his career in banking and leadership.

The appointment of Ereinat as General Manager of Safa Bank comes within the framework of the Bank’s vision to strengthen its administrative and executive capabilities and benefit from specialized banking expertise, supporting its plans for the next phase to develop Islamic banking products and services, continue its transformation and development journey, enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and expand its presence in the Palestinian banking market.
